I still use the radio in my car. The pickings are slim, I don’t have a fancy car with Sirrus or the right way to hear my phone through the system. If I could hear it then it’s still hard to maneuver my phone and drive. So alas, I still listen to the real radio.
I was driving to the store after work the other evening. I hit a channel and I heard this preacher talking. It was about public speaking. I am a “Toastmaster” (See Toastmasters.org if you’re interested in this concept). This intrigued me, and his speaking was powerful. He said it so well. I do not know what channel or who it was so I apologize I cannot give credit. But I was in total delight listening to him. It went like this:
“I’ve been speaking in public for as long as I can remember. I am skilled at it and normally there are very few distractions. There is this girl who I see who sits in the back. She could be any age, it’s hard to tell her age really. She pays better attention than most others do. She often screams out but it doesn’t phase me. You see this girl is in a wheelchair and I’m not sure what her disability is, but she is always there. I’m not sure who her caretakers are. I wonder how her life is? Can she eat like me, I know she can hear, because she reacts with delight. I do know she is full of smiles and delight and more happy than most of the crowd. She is the epitome of happiness. I know nothing about her daily routine. What does it take for her to get her? Who must shower and dress her? How is her day filled with challenges? You would never know looking at her smile and her enthusiasm I see every service. Her life is not like mine or yours. Her life is hard, hard every minute, and yet she is the happiest person in my crowd. Looking at her I’m in delight as well. For most people they wake up and if the sun isn’t out or the weather calls for rain they call it a bad day! I mean it takes nothing for most people to complain and gripe about life. Most of our world is in a negative self pitying state of mind. Maybe we should all look at this girl who is positive and hopeful and has far less abilities at life than we do. I wonder if we can see what this scenario is really showing us. My God it’s a lesson out of the bible right in front of all of us.”
Amen.
I urge you to look for the stars of life before it even gets dark. Anna sees the stars.
Life is Good.

Hearing this randomly on your radio is what I’d call a “God Moment “ so glad it was brought to you and that you shared it with us all!
